Today we take a dive back into the world of meditation.
As promised in part one of the meditation, we are going to be doing a deeper exploration (Part 1) on meditation.
In the first part we discussed what meditation is exactly and how it effects your brain, leading to why you should utilize this incredible tool.
While doing research for part one, I discovered some other benefits of meditation that we dive deep into today!

21.The BEST Pre-Workout Ingredients.

Pre-workouts are great, if they're using the right ingredients and dosing them properly at that!
The issue is, most companies DO NOT. They either put bare minimums or (unfortunately) even less.
It's really a shame because there's real science backing some supplement ingredients, but the companies really can give the whole industry a bad name.
I decided to dig into a little research and figure out which ingredients appeared to be the best based off this (the research) and my own personal experiences.
The top 4 ingredients I came across that sound the most promising:
1. Caffiene
2. L-Tyrosine
3. Nitric Oxide Booster (Beet Root Powder, L-Citrulline, CItrulline Malate)
4. Choline (Alpha-GPC to be more specific)
Honorable Mentions:
1. Beta Alanine
2. Creatine Monohydrate (this one was personal, I've never seen much benefit personally)
Ingredients I changed my mind on or showed little to no evidence:
1. L-Theanine (sadly I use to swear by this)
2. Taurine.

The trickle effect fitness can have on every other aspect of your life is REAL!
It's hard to recognize it all at the beginning because you're trying to figure out your training routine, understand what exercises you like, your style, your nutrition, etc.... and you look RIGHT BY everything your implementing.
The little things matter, there's a famous quote that I love and directly applies here.
"How you do anything is how you do everything." So when you begin your fitness journey it's not obvious, it takes failure after failure to cultivate everything necessary to see the results, but when you take the time to reflect back you'll see it!

Having a community, friends, family, people who support and encourage you is important, but what happens when they're not around.
It's crucial for you to acquire the skill to encourage yourself through the tough days.
The days you don't want to get out of bed.
The days you think you look fat
The days you don't want to train, or follow the nutrition plan
You know those days, the days that suck.
This requires a certain level of selfishness, but there are 2 types of selfish people out there.

What does Meditation mean? In the words of Dr. Joe Dispenza, "to know thyself"
Meditation is a mind-body practice. A practice of concentrated focus to increase awareness of the present moment. Simply put, to be present!
Meditation is amazing, because it can help you discover in your heart and soul.
Meditation can allow you to tap into your subconscious "programming" and change the things you may not like about yourself!
How does this work? Well our state of being is how we think and feel. This is reflected through brain waves, and our brain waves can range from hyperactive to slow, relax, and calm allowing us to tap into the unconscious mind!
