The Gut (our digestive system) and our mind (brain, nervous system) are so connected it is not even funny.
The gut brain axis is very real, and it's connect by a few different mechanisms.
1. Tryptophan Metabolism

3. The Vagus Nerve
4. The Enteric Nervous System
That's JUST the beginning, today (and in part 2) I explore these connections and how they work in the body. I also dive into what exactly the Gut Microbiome is, and why it's so important to understand this.
